Komsomolsk-on-Amur is reached most conveniently by plane into Komsomolsk-on-Amur Airport (KXK) or by long-distance train on the Baikal-Amur Mainline to the city's railway station. For regional connections Khabarovsk (Novy, KHV) is the nearest major aviation hub and offers onward train and bus services to Komsomolsk.
