Komiža City
Historic fishing town on Vis island, Croatian Adriatic
On Vis island's west coast, Komiža still functions as a fishing port: colorful boats, a small fishing museum, pebble beaches and peka dinners dominate. Visitors take boat trips to secluded coves, freedive, and follow narrow stone alleys to sea views.
Why Visit Komiža?#
On the sunlit west coast of Vis island, Komiža attracts food-minded travelers and sea lovers looking for island character. Its old fishermen’s harbor with stone houses, traditional boatyards and a centuries-old fishing culture center around dishes like gregada, the island’s signature fish stew.
