Kokořín Castle is a medieval castle ruin in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, set on a sandstone promontory within the Kokořínsko landscape near the village of Kokořín.
The compact castle ruins include remnants of towers and defensive walls perched on a rocky sandstone formation, with woodland trails in the surrounding protected landscape. The area around the castle features marked walking routes, rock formations and viewpoints popular with day visitors from Prague and nearby towns.
Originally built in the 14th century, the castle fell into disrepair and was later restored in part during the early 20th century; its medieval origins and later restoration efforts shape the present appearance. It has long been associated with local noble families and the sandstone landscape of the Kokořínsko area.
