How to Get to Kokkedal
Kokkedal is a suburban town in the northern part of the Copenhagen metropolitan area. It's well served by regional trains to Copenhagen and Helsingør, making it easy to reach from Copenhagen Airport or central Copenhagen.
Copenhagen Airport (CPH): Copenhagen is the main international gateway for the Copenhagen area. From CPH take a train to Helsingør or Hillerød and change for local services to Kokkedal Station (overall rail journey ~25-40 minutes from central Copenhagen; from the airport allow ~35-50 minutes).
Aalborg Airport (AAL): For northern arrivals, Aalborg connects by rail or road to the Copenhagen area; travel times are longer and typically involve a train to Copenhagen and onward local connections to Kokkedal.
Train: Kokkedal Station is on the Helsingør-Copenhagen coastal rail corridor and is served by regional trains; journey time Copenhagen Central→Kokkedal is roughly 20-30 minutes on regional services. The S-train network does not extend to Kokkedal, so use regional/DSB trains.
Bus: Local Movia buses serve Kokkedal and the surrounding Hørsholm area for shorter trips that don’t require the train. Bus frequency is good for local travel; tickets can be paid via DOT or Rejsekort.
