Kodak Fortress is a 17th-century stronghold built on the Dnieper River in the area that is now Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine. It was constructed by the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth as a military fortification to control movements along the river and the Cossack territories.
The fortress was built under Commonwealth military leadership in the early 1600s and served as an instrument of regional control during a period of repeated conflict.
