Khajuraho Airport (HJR): Khajuraho has its own regional airport with scheduled flights to Delhi and Varanasi (flight schedules vary by season). The airport is about 5-10 km from the temple complex - a taxi or auto‑rickshaw takes 15-25 minutes and fares are typically ₹200-600 depending on negotiation and vehicle.

Train: Khajuraho has a small railway station (Khajuraho station) with a handful of passenger services; however many travellers use larger nearby stations such as Mahoba or Satna and then take a taxi. Major trunk lines (e.g., to Jhansi/Satna) connect further afield - check current timetables for direct services.
Bus: State-run and private buses connect Khajuraho to surrounding towns (Jhansi, Chhatarpur, Mahoba). Buses and shared jeeps are inexpensive (from a few tens to a few hundred rupees depending on distance) but can be slow; for convenience many visitors prefer private taxis for door‑to‑door travel.
