Kentucky Horse Park

A public equine park and working horse farm near Lexington, Kentucky, established to celebrate and support the Commonwealth’s horse industry. The facility combines museums, breeding and training facilities, and competition venues.

On-site museums and exhibits about horses and horsemanship, daily demonstrations and riding displays, and regularly scheduled competitions and shows. Grounds include pastures, stables, show arenas and trails that support both educational visits and large-scale equestrian events.

Developed by the state of Kentucky and opened in 1978 to promote the horse industry and public education about equine care and history. The park has hosted national and international competitions, including the 2010 World Equestrian Games.

Located in the Lexington area of central Kentucky within Fayette County, serving as a regional center for equine tourism, education and competition.
