How to Get to Kaynardzha
Kaynardzha is a small border-area town in Silistra Province best reached by road from regional hubs like Silistra or Ruse. There are no major airports or direct rail services in the town itself, so plan for a bus or taxi from the nearest larger centre.
Varna Airport (VAR) / Bourgas Airport (BOJ) / Bucharest (OTP): Kaynardzha in Silistra Province has no local airport; the nearest major airports are Varna or Bourgas on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast and Bucharest (Romania) across the Danube. From Varna or Bourgas the road transfer to Silistra Province takes around 2-3+ hours by car or bus (prices vary). Bucharest is further but can be an option when crossing from Romania.
Sofia (SOF): Sofia is much further inland and not practical for direct access to Kaynardzha; road or rail links from Sofia to the northeast require long travel times.
Train: Kaynardzha is a small municipality with limited rail options nearby; the closest larger rail hub is Silistra (on a separate network) or Ruse. Bulgaria’s national rail (BDZ) serves major towns, but reaching Kaynardzha is typically done by road after arriving at a rail hub.
