How to Get to Kaya, Burkina Faso#

Kaya is a regional centre north of Ouagadougou and is normally reached by road from the capital. Ouagadougou International Airport (OUA) is the nearest international gateway; from there, regional buses or private transfers take you to Kaya.

By Air

Ouagadougou International Airport (OUA): Kaya is reached most commonly from Ouagadougou (OUA), the country’s main international airport. From Ouagadougou the road journey to Kaya takes about 2-3 hours by car or regional coach; taxis and organised transfers are available at the airport.

Local airstrips: Kaya does not have regular commercial airline service; some private or government flights may use local airstrips but these are not scheduled for public travel.

By Train & Bus

Train: Burkina Faso has no active national passenger rail service that serves Kaya; there is no train access to the town.
