Kanger Ghati National Park is accessed from Jagdalpur (the nearest town). Jagdalpur is on the Jagdalpur-Raipur road (NH30); it has regular bus services and a small regional airport (Jagdalpur Airport, about 14 km from town). From Jagdalpur, local taxis or shared jeeps run to the park entrances (approximately 20-60 km depending on which sector is visited). The park’s most visited caves (Kutumsar, Kailash) are reached via short motorable roads plus a walk from small village parking points; hire a guide from Jagdalpur or the park’s information point.

• Hire a local guide for the limestone cave sections - routes are poorly marked and spelunking without one is common cause of getting lost.
• Visit early in the morning to see gharial and mugger crocodiles sunning on riverbanks; local guides know the quiet spots.
• Bring insect repellent and long sleeves in the monsoon and post-monsoon months - mosquitoes congregate near pools and shaded trails.
