Kakne4stornet is a 155-metre television and communications tower in Stockholm County, Sweden, completed in 1967.

The tower includes a public observation deck and a restaurant, both of which offer panoramic views over central Stockholm, the city’s islands and parts of the archipelago. It is a well-known landmark for city views and for photography on clear days.

Designed and built in the 1960s as a national broadcasting tower, it continues to house transmission equipment and technical facilities alongside its visitor amenities.

Kakne4stornet stands in the eastern part of central Stockholm, near the districts of Ge4rdet and Djurge5rden, and is accessible from the city centre by public transport.

How to Get to Kaknästornet #

Take the red metro line (T-bana) to Gärdet station; from there it’s a 10-15 minute walk. Several buses serve the area (check local SL routes). The tower is also visible across the Djurgården channel, so it’s easily found on foot from central Stockholm.
