Pyongyang’s Juche Tower commemorates the Juche ideological concept and includes an observation deck with panoramic city views; it appears regularly on organized tours of the capital.
The Juche Tower is a prominent monument on the east bank of the Taedong River in Pyongyang, built to commemorate the Juche idea of self-reliance. The obelisk-style monument rises roughly 170 metres and is capped by a stylized torch.

The tower was erected in the early 1980s as a national monument to mark the importance of Juche in state ideology and civic presentation. It stands near other large ceremonial and cultural buildings along the Taedong River.
