Jibei Island is a small island in the Penghu archipelago (Penghu County), Taiwan, known for sandy beaches and shallow coastal water. It is a popular local destination for swimming, sunbathing and wind- and kite-sports in summer.
The shoreline includes stretches of sand and low dunes that distinguish Jibei from many rockier Penghu islets, and local facilities cater to day-trippers and seasonal visitors. Tourism infrastructure is concentrated around the harbour and beach areas.
Historically the islet has been part of Penghu’s fishing and maritime economy; in recent decades it has developed as a holiday destination within the archipelago.
Jibei sits in the Taiwan Strait as one of the Penghu islands and is administered within Penghu County.
