The site developed from earlier private gardens into a municipal recreational space and has been maintained as an urban park used year-round. Its layout emphasizes stone terraces and stepped circulation up the hillside.
Geographically the park sits in the northern suburbs of Tehran, rising into the lower slopes of the Alborz range and providing one of the nearer green spaces with elevated views back toward the city.

Located in the Velenjak district of northern Tehran (Bagh-e Jamshidieh). Reachable by taxi from central Tehran (approx. 30-45 minutes depending on traffic). Nearest major road: Velenjak / Shariati corridors. Public buses serve the general area but a short taxi from the nearest stop is typical.

- Enter through the lower gate on Velenjak (northwest) to avoid the busiest approaches and save the steepest climbs for later in the day.
- Visit late afternoon to catch the light and listen to the water channels; the park's stepped terraces are quieter then.
- Bring small change if planning to buy snacks from vendors near the entrance; ATMs are not inside the park.
