The İzmir Clock Tower is an Ottoman-era clock tower located in Konak Square at the heart of İzmir. It was completed in 1901 and is one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks.
The octagonal tower rises to about 25 metres and features ornate stonework and metal clock elements; it stands alongside municipal buildings and is a common meeting point in the city centre. The tower is often photographed with the neighbouring Konak Yalı Mosque and the busy square around it.
Commissioned by the city and designed by the architect Raymond Charles Péré, the tower commemorated a royal anniversary and has since become a civic symbol. Its central location in Konak makes it easily accessible on foot from nearby public-transport hubs.
