How to Get to Ivalo
Ivalo is most practically reached by flying into Ivalo Airport (IVL), a short drive from town. There is no rail service; local buses and taxis provide the onward transfer.

The airport is within a short drive of Ivalo town centre (roughly 5-15 minutes); taxis and short shuttle buses operate-expect taxi fares of around €15-30 and modest bus fares.
Helsinki-Vantaa (HEL): For international arrivals, fly into Helsinki and continue with a domestic flight to Ivalo; alternate surface routes are very long (train/bus combinations).
