Innsbruck Cathedral, formally the Cathedral of St. James, is the Baroque cathedral of Innsbruck in Tyrol, Austria, and serves as the city’s principal Roman Catholic church. It is noted for its Baroque façade, twin towers and a prominent green dome over the crossing.
The interior contains Baroque altarpieces, frescoes and an elaborate high altar typical of early 18th-century church art and architecture. The cathedral functions as an active parish church as well as a visitor attraction in the centre of Innsbruck.
Construction of the present Baroque building took place in the early 18th century to replace an earlier church on the site; it was completed and consecrated in the first half of that century.
