Ingliston is a suburb and event area on the western outskirts of Edinburgh, Scotland, known for its large exhibition and event facilities. The site includes the Royal Highland Centre and associated showgrounds and transport facilities.

The area developed in the mid to late 20th century as Edinburgh expanded westward and as demand grew for large exhibition space outside the city centre. The Royal Highland Centre established Ingliston as the main showground for Scotland’s major agricultural and trade events.

Ingliston sits immediately west of Edinburgh city centre, adjacent to Edinburgh Airport and connected to the city by road and regular bus services; it occupies low-lying ground used for event infrastructure and parking.
