Huaca Pucllana is a pre-Inca adobe pyramid complex in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru, constructed by the Lima culture. It is a prominent urban archaeological site within the modern city.
Built by the Lima culture in the first half of the first millennium CE, the complex served ceremonial and administrative functions before the rise of later coastal states. Archaeological work since the 20th century has revealed burial contexts, ceramics and construction sequences.
Huaca Pucllana sits in the Miraflores district of Lima, embedded within a dense residential and commercial neighborhood along Peru’s central coast.
