Hrubý Jeseník is the high mountain range in the northern part of the Czech Republic’s Jeseníky mountains, located largely within the Olomouc Region. It contains the range’s highest peak, Praděd, and forms a prominent upland area of ridges, plateaus and deep valleys.
Trails, mountain huts and ski facilities make the region a year-round destination for hiking, cycling and winter sports, with alpine meadows and forested slopes. The massif is an important watershed and features a number of long-distance hiking routes.
