Hon Tre is the largest island in Nha Trang Bay, off the coast of Nha Trang in Khánh Hòa province, Vietnam. It is notable for substantial tourism development concentrated on one side of the island, including hotels, beaches, and entertainment facilities.

How to Get to Hon Tre #
Hon Tre Island sits just off Nha Trang and is most frequently reached by the Vinpearl cable car or by boats from Nha Trang’s Cau Da or city piers. The Vinpearl cable car runs from the Nha Trang coast (near Tran Phu) directly to Hon Tre (serving the Vinpearl resort/park), and public/private boats take about 10-30 minutes from Cau Da Port depending on vessel type. From Nha Trang city centre it’s a short drive (a few kilometres) to the cable car terminal or Cau Da piers.

- Use the Nha Trang-Hon Tre cable car for the fastest, most scenic access to Vinpearl/ Hon Tre and arrive at opening to avoid long weekend lines for tickets and cable-car cabins.
- If you want quieter island spots, head beyond the resort zone to the island's eastern beaches and small fishing villages-many visitors stick to the resort and miss these areas.
- Check cable-car and boat schedules for return times, especially outside peak season when services can be reduced.
