Holyhead Mountain is the highest point on Holy Island off the northwest coast of Anglesey in Wales, reaching roughly 220 metres above sea level. It is a prominent coastal hill on the island.
The area offers coastal walking routes with sea cliffs and wide views over the Irish Sea, and it is frequented by walkers and nature observers for the exposed ridge-top paths and maritime scenery. The summit and slopes are open access and form part of local outdoor recreation.
The mountain and surrounding coastal landscape were shaped by coastal erosion and glacial processes and have been used historically for grazing and local transit. Today it remains a natural landmark closely associated with the town of Holyhead.

How to Get to Holyhead Mountain #
Holyhead Mountain is on Holy Island, Anglesey. From Holyhead town centre it’s a 20-30 minute walk to the base of the mountain; local roads and footpaths lead up the slopes. Holyhead is connected by rail from mainland Wales (trains from Bangor and further afield) and by ferry services to Ireland.
