Holland Landing Area

Holland Landing is an unincorporated community in East Gwillimbury, Ontario, located on the Holland River in southern Ontario. It developed historically as a riverine settlement at the head of navigation on the Holland River.

The area today is a mix of residential neighbourhoods and waterfront parks with a small harbour and local trails along the river; the riverside setting is a focal point for recreation and local boating. The community retains elements of its 19th-century settlement pattern alongside modern suburban development.

Holland Landing lies within York Region, north of the Greater Toronto Area and near the town of Newmarket.

Holland Landing is reached by car from Highway 404/11 and local roads in the York Region. GO Transit rail and bus services reach nearby Aurora and East Gwillimbury; from those stations a short taxi or local bus will reach Holland Landing. Cycling along regional trails is also popular in summer.
