Gan International Airport (GAN): Hithadhoo is on Addu Atoll and is served by Gan International Airport (GAN) in Addu City - the airport is within Addu and is the most convenient arrival point. From Gan Airport Hithadhoo is typically a short taxi or local bus ride (roughly 10-25 minutes) depending on which part of Hithadhoo you’re heading to; expect modest local fares.
Velana International Airport (MLE): Most international visitors arrive at Velana (MLE) in Malé and then take a domestic flight to Gan (operators include Maldivian) or an occasionally scheduled sea transfer. Domestic flights from Malé to Gan take about 45-60 minutes; boat transfers are much longer and depend on weather and operator schedules.
Train: There is no rail transport in the Maldives.
