Historic Centre of Urbino

The Historic Centre of Urbino is a hilltop Renaissance town in the Marche region of Italy, noted for its coherent urban fabric and association with the ruling Montefeltro dynasty. The centre preserves a compact ensemble of palaces, churches and streets that embody Renaissance urban and architectural ideals.

The Palazzo Ducale is the focal monument, built and expanded in the 15th century under the dukes of Urbino and containing important civic and artistic collections.
