Harvard Yard

Harvard Yard is the historic heart of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, serving as a central green and cluster of the university’s oldest buildings since the colonial era. One key fact is that the Yard contains several of Harvard’s oldest surviving structures and formal open spaces.

The central open lawns and walkways that are bounded by lecture halls, libraries and dormitories, and the well known bronze statue of John Harvard, a frequent photographic landmark.
