Hampton National Historic Site is a preserved plantation estate in Maryland centred on a large late 18th-century country house. The property illustrates the scale and operation of a wealthy Atlantic coastal estate, including the main house, outbuildings and landscaped grounds.

Interiors display period rooms and household fittings linked to the Ridgely family who built and lived at the estate, while the grounds include agricultural buildings and gardens that supported the household economy. The site interprets social history, architecture and landscape design from the late 18th century onwards.

Located in north-central Maryland, the estate is situated within driving distance of Baltimore and is managed by the National Park Service with public access for tours and programmes.

From downtown Baltimore drive or take local transit into Towson and follow local roads to the Hampton site (the house is in the Towson area and is typically reached by car or local bus/taxi from central Baltimore).
