Haagse Bos is an historic woodland inside the city of The Hague in South Holland that survives as an urban forest and park. It is one of the older continuous wooded areas in the Netherlands and functions as green space within the city.
Paths and lanes through the forest are used for walking, cycling and informal recreation, and the area contains mature trees and lawns rather than developed attractions. The site is valued as urban nature and for its proximity to civic and governmental buildings.
The forest has medieval origins and historically formed part of the domain of regional rulers and later the Dutch state; it has long been managed as parkland and reserved woodland within The Hague.

- Enter from the Koningskade / Laan van Roos en Doorn end to avoid the busiest tourist routes and find quieter paths.
- Look for the old iron fencing and carriage tracks: they mark where 18th-19th century promenades once ran and are the spots where sunlight makes the moss glow in late afternoon.
- Bring binoculars in spring for migrant songbirds and the fall for roe deer activity at dusk - the animals here are habituated but not tame.
