• Walk the causeway from Victor Harbor's main street-it's only about 600-700 metres and the views back toward the mainland are excellent.
• Go at dusk to watch the little penguins return; bring a flashlight with a red filter or use low light to avoid disturbing them.
• If the horse-drawn tram is running, ride it for the novelty; otherwise the walk is flat and straightforward.
