Grand Etang Lake is a volcanic crater lake located in Grand Etang National Park in Saint Andrew Parish, Grenada. It is the island’s principal inland lake and a focal point for the national park.
Trails around the lake and in the surrounding rainforest lead to viewpoints, waterfalls and birdwatching locations, with routes of varying lengths and difficulty. The lake and park are used for short walks, nature observation and guided hikes.
The lake occupies an extinct volcanic crater and the surrounding forest has been protected as a national park to conserve the island’s tropical montane ecosystem. The area has long been important for local biodiversity and recreation.
