Gometra is a small island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland, lying off the west coast of the Isle of Mull and forming part of the archipelago of small islands in that area.
The island presents a remote, rural landscape of crofts, grassland and cliffs with a very small resident population; it is visited for walking, wildlife watching and to experience a sparsely developed island environment. Tracks rather than surfaced roads provide internal access and there are no main tourist facilities on the island.
Gometra has a history of crofting and small-scale agriculture and has been inhabited intermittently for centuries; land ownership and use have changed over time in line with broader patterns in the Hebrides.
Located off the west coast of Mull in Scotland, Gometra sits between Ulva and Mull in the Inner Hebrides and is reached by small boat or on foot via the short link to Ulva.
