Best Time to Visit Ghanzi #

Ghanzi is at its best in the dry winter months (May-August) when days are pleasant and nights can be freezing - perfect for Kalahari exploration. The November-March rains bring heat, insects and muddy tracks.

Rainy Season
November - March · 18-36°C (64-97°F)
Hot, humid days with heavy thunderstorms; pans fill, birdlife surges, but even short rains can make remote tracks impassable quickly.
Cool Season
May - August · −2-22°C (28-72°F)
Bracing mornings, bright days and minimal insects - superb for game drives and walking tours, though nighttime cold demands warm layers.
Hot Dry Season
September - October · 25-38°C (77-100°F)
Scorching afternoons, dust-hazed horizons and parched vegetation; water becomes precious, and short-lived thunderstorms can appear suddenly at month's end too.
