Gasherbrum III is a high mountain peak in the Gasherbrum massif of the Karakoram range, located in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. At an elevation of 7,952 metres it ranks among the higher peaks of the greater Karakoram system.

The mountain is part of a compact group of eight-thousanders and high seven-thousanders and is often approached from glacier basins serving the Gasherbrum group. Its remote location and technical terrain make access and ascent complex and typically undertaken by experienced high-altitude climbing teams.

The peak sits within glaciated terrain and is surrounded by large glaciers and steep ridgelines that link it to nearby Gasherbrum peaks. Climbs require multi-week expeditions, acclimatization rotations and specialist support for safety and logistics.

Geographically the mountain is in the eastern Karakoram, within the political boundaries of Gilgit-Baltistan in northern Pakistan, and is accessed via base camps established on the surrounding glaciers.
