Gandiaye is primarily a road‑access town: arrive via Dakar's Blaise Diagne Airport (DSS) then continue by bus or shared taxi through Kaolack. Local buses and bush taxis are the practical ways to reach the town from regional hubs.

By Air

Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS): The main international access for Gandiaye is through Dakar’s DSS. From DSS you can take a shuttle to Dakar then a bus or shared taxi toward Kaolack/Kaolack region; shuttle to central Dakar typically costs about 1,500-2,000 XOF (45-60 minutes), while taxis to the Kaolack corridor are more expensive.

Kaolack Airport (KLC) / regional airfields: Kaolack has a small regional airstrip used only occasionally for charters; most travelers use DSS and continue by road.

By Train & Bus

Train: Passenger rail service in the Kaolack area is limited; some regional rail freight exists but do not rely on regular passenger trains to reach Gandiaye.
