Frances Lake is a freshwater lake in the Yukon territory of Canada located in the territory’s eastern region. It has an associated small community and has been used historically for fishing and as a travel route within the Yukon.
The area around the lake was used by Indigenous peoples and later by European fur traders and prospectors; a trading post and settlement activity existed in the region during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The lake has remained a sparsely populated area primarily used for subsistence and recreational activities.
