Fossar de les Moreres is a small public square and memorial in Barcelona’s El Born quarter, dedicated to those who died during the 1714 fall of the city. The site is a civic and symbolic memorial rather than a large monument.

The square contains a memorial plaque and commemorative elements honoring the defenders of Barcelona from the War of the Spanish Succession; it is often visited in combination with the nearby Santa Maria del Mar church and the Museu Picasso a short walk away.

The site commemorates the 1714 siege that ended with the capture of Barcelona and has been used as a place of remembrance and public ceremony in subsequent centuries. It functions as an urban memorial and gathering point for civic events.

The square sits in the El Born neighborhood of central Barcelona, directly adjacent to Santa Maria del Mar and within walking distance of Plaça de les Arts and the city’s old port area.
