Fort Simcoe is a Washington State historic park and preserved mid-19th-century Army post and Indian agency located in south-central Washington. The site preserves period buildings and interprets military and agency functions from that era.
Visitors can tour the Agency House and other preserved buildings, view interpretive exhibits about the site’s role as an Army post and Indian agency, and use picnic and open-space facilities on the park grounds. Programming often focuses on preservation and regional history.
Established in the mid-19th century as a U.S. Army post and Indian agency, the site served administrative and military roles during a period of westward expansion and regional conflicts. The surviving buildings were later preserved and the property converted into a state historic park for interpretation.
Located near the small community of White Swan in Yakima County, the site sits on rising ground overlooking portions of the Naches River valley in south-central Washington.
