Building Three iconic Baku skyscrapers with LED flame displays
Three flame-shaped skyscrapers on Baku’s skyline with LED façades, housing offices, a hotel and residences. Visitors photograph them by night and stroll nearby seafront promenades.
The Flame Towers are a group of three flame-shaped skyscrapers in Baku, Azerbaijan, that form a prominent part of the city’s modern skyline. They were completed and officially opened in 2012 and are noted for LED façades that display animated patterns and national imagery at night.
The three towers house a mix of uses including offices, residential space and hotel accommodation, and were developed as part of wider redevelopment in central Baku. Their curving glass facades and illuminated exterior screens make them highly visible across the city and from the Caspian shoreline.
The towers were constructed in the early 21st century as a showcase project in Baku’s rapid urban expansion and are often photographed as a modern symbol of the city.
Geographically the Flame Towers stand on elevated ground overlooking central Baku and the Caspian Sea, and are visible from promenades, parks and elevated viewpoints across the city.
