Firuzkoh (in Ghor Province) is remote and travel options are limited and often irregular; air access is generally via Kabul or Herat followed by long overland transfers. Due to variable security and infrastructure, travel requires careful local planning and trusted transport providers.
Kabul International Airport (KBL): Kabul is the principal international gateway for Afghanistan. From Kabul, overland travel to Ghor province is long, insecure in places, and usually done via charter/domestic flights (when available) or by road convoys; travel times vary widely and fares for charters or private transfers must be confirmed locally.
Herat International Airport (HEA): Herat is another regional airport with some domestic and international connections; reaching Firuzkoh/Ghor from Herat requires a lengthy overland journey by 4x4 or arranging local charter flights where available.
