The Fatehpuri Mosque is a 17th-century Mughal mosque in Old Delhi, India, built during the reign of Shah Jahan. It stands on the west side of Chandni Chowk, adjacent to the Jama Masjid complex.
The mosque presents Mughal-era architecture with a prayer hall and courtyard, and it forms part of the dense historic streetscape of Chandni Chowk. Visitors commonly view the mosque from the surrounding market streets and may enter outside prayer times to see the prayer hall and courtyard.
The mosque was commissioned in the Mughal period by Fatehpuri Begum, a wife of Emperor Shah Jahan, and dates to the mid-1600s. It has remained a functioning mosque through successive political changes in Delhi.
The mosque sits in the heart of Old Delhi on Chandni Chowk, immediately west of the Jama Masjid, within the walled city area originally laid out as Shahjahanabad.
