Falls of Moness

The Falls of the Braan are a series of cascades on the River Braan in Perthshire, Scotland, located within a managed woodland known as The Hermitage. The site is notable for the deep, wooded gorge and the main plunge called the Black Linn, with a viewing pavilion sited to overlook the falls.

Walkways and riverside trails provide several viewpoints along a short network of paths through coniferous plantation and native trees, and the site is managed for public access with waymarked routes and a visitor car park. The focal point for many visitors is Ossian’s Hall, an 18th-century viewing pavilion that stands above the main fall and was constructed to frame the cascade.

The Hermitage and the Falls of the Braan lie near the village of Dunkeld in Perth and Kinross, in central Scotland; the woodland is a short walk from the local car park and is a common stop on drives through the region.
