Fajã da Ovelha (Madeira) is best reached from Cristiano Ronaldo Madeira Airport (FNC) by car or regional bus. Madeira has no rail network; regional bus operators (Rodoeste and others) serve western villages but a rental car gives the most flexibility.

By Air

Madeira Airport (Funchal, FNC): Cristiano Ronaldo Madeira International Airport (FNC) is the island’s main airport; from FNC to Fajã da Ovelha the drive takes about 35-50 minutes depending on traffic and route. Car rental is available at the airport and is the most flexible way to reach small villages on Madeira.

Porto Santo Airport (PXO): Porto Santo is a different island with a small airport; traveling from Porto Santo requires a ferry to Madeira and then onward transport - Funchal (FNC) remains the practical entry for most visitors to Fajã da Ovelha on Madeira island itself.

By Train & Bus

Train: There are no trains on Madeira island.
