Ertvågsøya is an island off the west coast of Norway in Møre og Romsdal county. It is part of the coastal archipelago and contains a mix of rocky shoreline, sheltered bays, and inland rises.

The island is characterised by small villages, shoreline farming and fishing landscapes, and local roads that follow fjords and inlets. Outdoor activities include coastal walking and informal hiking on local tracks; facilities are those of small rural communities rather than large tourist centres.

Historically the island has been occupied by small farming and fishing communities and has remained sparsely populated compared with Norway’s larger coastal towns. Economic activity is largely local and rural in character.

Geographically it sits among the islands and fjords of Møre og Romsdal on Norway’s western coast, in the Nordmøre region. The surrounding seascape is typical of the Norwegian coastal archipelago.
