Endau-Rompin National Park is a protected rainforest area on the Malay Peninsula spanning parts of Johor (and adjacent Pahang areas). It conserves lowland and hill rainforest in the drainage basins of the Endau and Rompin rivers and is recognised for its biodiversity.
The park contains forested hills, river valleys and waterfalls and supports a variety of tropical wildlife and plant communities. It is a destination for jungle trekking, river exploration and wildlife observation, with formal trails and designated access points.
The protected area lies in southeastern Peninsular Malaysia within Johor state, inland from the coastal districts and reachable from towns on the eastern Johor coast and interior access points.

- Plan your trip during the drier months (outside the main monsoon period) and expect multi-day treks to reach interior parts of the park-many of the highlights require overnight camping or lodge stays.
- Arrange an entry permit and a licensed local guide through the Johor park office or an accredited operator-river crossings, jungle trails and navigation are significantly easier and safer with a guide.
- Start treks early in the day to reach waterfall pools and clearings before afternoon rain and to make the most of daylight for wildlife watching and photography.
