About El Hiba

El Hiba is an archaeological site in the Beni Suef region of Egypt consisting of the remains of an ancient settlement and funerary structures. The site contains visible ruins and stonework indicating occupation in antiquity.

Excavations and surveys have recorded foundations, masonry and other archaeological traces typical of an ancient Egyptian town context. The site has yielded inscriptions and architectural fragments during archaeological investigations.

Structures and material remains indicate the site was occupied in ancient times and underwent phases of construction and reuse. Over time the settlement declined and left behind ruins that are now the subject of archaeological study.
