The former theatre layout creates a sequence of balconies, boxes and a central nave filled with books, offering both browsing and viewing of the preserved decorative elements. It is widely visited as both a functioning bookstore and an example of adaptive reuse of a historical performance venue.
The building originally opened as a theatre in the early 20th century and was later repurposed as a bookstore while conserving much of the original ornamentation and theatre architecture.
