Double O Arch is a natural sandstone arch formation in Arches National Park, Utah, notable for a pair of openings in the same rock fin. It is one of the more visually distinctive arches inside the Devil’s Garden area.
The arch is reached via the Devil’s Garden trail, a back-and-forth route that passes several other arches and rock features and is commonly reported as about a 4.2-mile round trip. Hikers pass Landscape Arch and a sequence of fins and windows before arriving at Double O Arch on a high ridge.
Formed by the long-term erosion of Entrada Sandstone, the formation illustrates the park’s characteristic fin-and-arch landscape. The arch is best appreciated from maintained trail viewpoints; climbing on fragile formations is restricted.
Double O Arch is located within the Devil’s Garden section of Arches National Park on the Colorado Plateau, accessible from the park road near the main Arches entrance and the town of Moab, Utah.
