Domkirken

A medieval cathedral in Trøndelag county commonly referred to as the city’s domkirk e, built on the traditional burial site of St. Olav and serving as the seat of the bishop. It is the primary historic church in Trondheim.

The cathedral contains medieval stonework, carved details and a sequence of chapels and altarpieces reflecting its long ecclesiastical role; visitors explore the interior and the adjacent precinct. Services, concerts and guided tours are a regular part of the site’s public programme.
