The Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum is an open-air ethnographic museum on the northern edge of Bucharest that displays traditional Romanian village buildings and cultural artefacts. It was founded in 1936 and is one of the earliest and largest open-air museums in Europe.

Buildings such as peasant houses, wooden churches, windmills and farm outbuildings have been relocated and reassembled to represent regional rural life. The museum is organized by historic regions and presents vernacular architecture, interiors and craft demonstrations.

The museum was established as an academic and cultural initiative to preserve Romania’s rural architectural heritage and is used for education, research and public display.

It is located in Bucharest’s northern park area (near Herăstrău / King Michael I Park), accessible from the city center by public transport.
