Delta, British Columbia

Delta is a city in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia located on the delta of the Fraser River and forming part of the Metro Vancouver region. It comprises three main communities - Ladner, Tsawwassen and North Delta - each with distinct residential and commercial character.

The area includes agricultural lands, coastal shoreline and urban neighbourhoods. Tsawwassen hosts the BC Ferries terminal that provides vehicle and passenger connections to Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, while Ladner contains a compact waterfront village centre.

Delta developed from small river settlements into a suburban municipality within greater Vancouver while retaining farmland and important coastal habitats such as Boundary Bay.

The city lies southwest of Vancouver on the south shore of the Fraser River and includes low-lying coastal areas and transport infrastructure linking the region.
